We are proud to announce that Living Future Europe is now a labelled Just organization!
The International Living Future Institute issued the Just label to Living Future Europe earlier this month. The JUST program is a voluntary disclosure tool for organizations to elevate internal discussions, policies, and procedures and create a common language and measurement framework for social justice issues.
Just is a call to action, and LFE is committed to being a more transparent, equitable, and socially just organization.
Just is not a certification program, it is a transparency platform for organizations to disclose their operations, including how they treat their employees and where they make financial and community investments.
This approach requires reporting on a range of organization- and employee-related indicators. Each indicator outlines measurable accountabilities in order for the organization to be recognized at four levels of performance, which are summarized elegantly on the label.
“Throughout the Just Certification process we learned a lot about the experience of our employees and were able to develop policy enhancements to create a better work environment,” said Jacquie Pierri, LFE Regenerative Operations Support. “The Just certification process facilitated a robust audit of how LFE collaborates with both internal and external partners. We look forward to catalyzing these new insights into continued improvement to benefit our employees and our community.”
Lindsay Baker, CEO of the International Living Future Institute, expressed her congratulations on this LFE milestone.
“As a small non-profit with employees in 3 countries, each with very different approaches to health care, retirement, family leave, and more, LFE had to navigate some difficult situations. The goal of the Just program is to help organizations and industries move the needle on equitable workplace practices, and LFE demonstrated that there is room for organizations to go beyond government provisions and adopt policies that align with what good looks like. We are so proud of LFE for their achievement and grateful for their partnership in these conversations regarding international equivalencies.“
