Specialists wanted for the Living Future Europe ‘Technical Advisory Group’ (TAG) 2024

We are seeking passionate experts on ILFI programs and related topics, (regenerative design construction and economy, European, national, regional, or local regulations) willing to support the acceleration in the paradigm shift and change the world (or at least Europe …!).

The LFE Technical Advisory Group (TAG) aims to analyse, compare and produce documents & reports on

  • specific regional standard changes for the adoption of ILFI certification
  • crosswalk documents on ILFI programs and other standards or policies relevant to the European market
  • harmonisation between ILFI programs and the existing / in progress regulations at a European or National level

The Technical Advisory Group will be working on some key tasks, i.e., how ILFI programs are fitting or not already established on in progress European standards, thanks to the experience and knowledge from the European context.

Time commitment will be gauged depending on the availability of selected participants. We are expecting typically not more than 1 monthly call plus some back-office work to prepare materials and develop technical documentation. The TAG will last for one year, with the possibility to be extended, so the commitment would be required for 12-months, with the possibility for a renewal to be agreed on between the TAG members and LFE. Meetings will be typically on-line. The work is to be considered on a voluntary basis, without remuneration for participation. Selected and actively contributing participants will be recognised in a specific section on LFE website as official members of the TAG.

The selection will be based on the information you provide, (CV, experience, motivation, fields of expertise, LBC Petals, country representation, industry sector). The call is reserved to 10-15  officers. Manufacturing companies are invited to follow a partnership agreement submittal process (which also includes the possibility to take part in LFE Technical Groups). (TAG – Terms of Reference)

If you are interested, please apply using this form by January 10th, 2024.

Living Future Europe (LFE) – the European partner of the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) – is a non-profit association with the mission to make the world work for 100% of humanity, in the shortest possible time, through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense or disadvantage of anyone, catalysing the transformation toward communities that are socially just, culturally rich, and ecologically restorative.

LFE is playing an active role in championing ILFI’s programs in Europe: Living Building ChallengeCOREZero CarbonZero Energy certification, JUSTDeclare, the Living Product Challenge. These are regenerative programs for 21st century buildings, cities, companies, communities. We know they are now more than needed, these are the solutions to our global issues, towards a Living Future.

But a determining acceleration in implementation is now needed, leaving the mainstream behind, cornering green washing, and catalysing all our best energies towards a Living Future. This passes also through an accurate analysis and benchmarking work with regard to European and country specific regulations and existing frameworks. The goal is to harmonise the work we are doing to what is already happening in Europe, creating the conditions for a faster rooting of our programs at a European (Europe as a continent), national, regional, and local level.

Stay tuned on the TAG activities, following LFE on our social media.
